We are finally entering a spring time full of possibilities. So much stagnant energy has been the norm for us for years. If you watch the political landscape now versus what we experienced for well over the last ten years or more, you can see there is much changing. Our social environment has begun to change as well, people are beginning to step outside their doors and seek others for more community and tribe-like relationships. Leaving behind a very disconnected and broken path where the family structure has in many ways fallen apart. Physically we are ready for the sunshine, to feel the dirt in our hands, to watch life spring back into being. The desire for growth and evidence of abundance comes with springtime.
Spiritually speaking these elements all affect how we ultimately feel about our world and how we experience it. It is not just what we see that tells us where we are as people, but what we know to be true. There are long seasons where years go by and things just aren't as green, or beautiful as we remember. We have known skies that lack the vibrant blue of our childhood, severe weather, consistent rain, and even overly hot, dry summers. These manifestations of our outer world reflect what is beneath the surface of all our inner worlds. It is how creation works, and how the people are and feel directly impacts the physical world around us.
Now that we have shifted into a new sphere of time and energy, many are beginning to feel the changes kicking in. The stagnant energy has run its course and we are ready for change. More and more people are waking up and saying that the status quo isn't working and that it was never supposed to. While this may seem negative, the truth is our discomfort can be our biggest lesson. It pushes us to become "fed up" and therefore seek something new. This need to have a negative season is so that we will be driven to set our eyes elsewhere. To places that give us energy, life, and vitality, and renew our dreams.
Spiritually speaking this is a great time, we have come out of winter and darkness and the cold to appreciate the warmth and light again. When we exit our homes and go outside to be greeted by the sun, it causes a visceral reaction that causes a deep sigh to come over us.
Right now is the perfect time to feel that great sigh. Allow the feelings of release and freedom to wash over you. Stay in the moment, stay present, there you will find peace of mind and heart.
I encourage you to plan on doing the least possible for one day. I don't encourage laziness, that's not what this is. It's about doing a different kind of work. If you think about it, many people are more uncomfortable resting and going with the flow than they are keeping up with their busy schedules. So let it be a goal to accept that although it's uncomfortable, it is positively altering you. Changing one thing about your life can have a major effect on your viewpoint and can stimulate spiritual growth much greater than you think by riding the wave of the ripple effect you've just caused by shaking your world up!
Let's get into the habit of shaking things up. If you never go barefoot in the garden, try it. If you keep putting off reading that book, go grab it and find a beautiful and peaceful space to read. If you have kids running wild around you and don't know how you will find the time for you, ask for help. If you don't have anyone to ask, and it seems impossible, just breathe. Go to the bathroom if you have to and do some breathing work. Open your mind and allow ideas to flow to you of what you can do to get them to settle into a pattern that can make time for you. I get it, truly I do! With three wild ones on my hands, there are days when I can't get to anything I planned to, and I have to roll with it. I am the queen of spontaneous projects and use anything I have on hand to get them to be engaged.
The point is, that the little things matter in big ways. If may be five minutes that you get to relax, but take it. The funny thing about spiritual manifestation is that the more you honor those little moments, the more opportunities come for you to have more time. You are showing yourself and God that you desire more and are willing to do what you can when you can. The reward will be more and more and more of what you need.
